On November 2, 2025, at 0105 hours, police responded to the 1200 block of Westminster Street, St. Paul, Ramsey County on a report of criminal sexual assault. Officers met with OAE who said GOMEZ SALAS had just grabbed his penis without consent. OAE told police that he had gone out to a nearby bar and met GOMEZ SALAS. OAE left the bar with GOMEZ SALAS and went for a ride with him in GOMEZ SALAS’ truck. After driving around, GOMEZ SALAS parked on Westminster Street and started to kiss OAE on his mouth and chest.
GOMEZ SALAS then reached down into OAE’s pants and started to touch and grab his penis. OAE told GOMEZ SALAS to stop and said he wanted to go home. GOMEZ SALAS did not pursue any further sexual advances but refused to take him home. OAE then called 911. In a follow-up interview, OAE said the night of the assault, he believed GOMEZ SALAS was going to drive him home but then drove somewhere else and parked. They did not have any discussions about having sexual contact and OAE never gave any form of consent.
GOMEZ SALAS was on scene and still in his truck when police arrived. He told officers that OAE was his “manager,” whom he had known for a long time, but couldn’t remember his name. He changed his story to say his passenger was a friend he had just known for a little bit and whose name he didn’t remember. GOMEZ SALAS was placed under arrest and taken into custody. He refused to speak with police following his arrest.
