On February 23, 2026, at approximately 6:00 P.M., Wright County Deputy Schultz responded to a report of assault occurring at the Wright County Jail, [ADDRESS REDACTED] NE, Buffalo, Wright County, Minnesota. Upon arrival at that location, Deputy Schultz spoke with jail staff and was advised that Abdullahi Aden Ibrahim, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter the defendant, assaulted another inmate, Parker Hansford. Deputy Schultz reviewed security footage for the area where the assault occurred and at approximately 5:11 P.M., he observed the defendant strike Hansford three times with closed fists.
The first two strikes connected with the left side of Hansford's face (cheek area). Deputy Schultz spoke with Hansford who stated that the defendant approached him and hit him two times on the left side of his face. Hansford had no visible injuries but did state that he would like the defendant charged with assault. After being advised of his Miranda rights, the defendant declined to make a statement. The defendant has a lengthy history of assaultive behavior, including most recently two separate counts of fourth degree assault in Court File No. ••-CR-••-••••, convicted on June 26, 2024, and first degree assault in Court File No. ••-CR-••-••••, convicted on June 2, 2025.
