On August 14, 2025, at approximately 8:52 A.M., officers responded to a gas station located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] NE, City of Blaine, within the County of Anoka, on report of potential narcotics being found. Gas station staff informed officers that a person dropped a bag containing a white crystal substance while walking inside the store. Video footage at the store showed a white male with a full beard and wearing a gray shirt and blue hat leave the area of the bathrooms, walk down an aisle, and while walking down the aisle a resealable bag fell from the individual’s person around the area of their pocket.
The individual exited the store and got into a truck pulling a trailer. Officers identified the owner of the trailer as MRE and contacted him. MRE was provided a picture of the male and identified him as his employee Kyle Edward Farrell [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant. The officer asked MRE to have Defendant contact them, but Defendant never did despite repeated attempts by officers to contact Defendant. Officers also compared video footage from the gas station with official state records and confirmed Defendant’s identity.
The suspected narcotics were sent to the Midwest Regional Forensic Laboratory for testing. Results of the lab tests showed that the substance was 1.768 grams of methamphetamine.
