On April 1, 2026, law enforcement was dispatched to Fleet Farm in the City of Blaine, Anoka County on Lexington Ave on the report of a shoplifter. Loss prevention advised that a male had been concealing merchandise into his backpack and passed all points of sale without making any attempt to purchase the items. Loss prevention had intercepted the male before he made it out of the building, and he was detained in their office prior to law enforcements arrival. The male identified himself as Juan Carlos Alvarado Gonzales.
The total value of merchandise found in his backpack totaled $1,000.58. When transported to the jail, the male was positively identified as JUAN JOSE GOMEZ JIMINEZ [DOB REDACTED] who had an active warrant for his arrest for a prior first-degree burglary. A mirandized statement was taken from the Defendant in which he admitted to stealing the items from Fleet Farm.
