At 11:58 PM on March 18, 2026, Officer Podgorski came upon a 2002 Toyota Camry bearing Minnesota license plates KD0313 parked and running in a closed park at [ADDRESS REDACTED] East, Maplewood, Ramsey County. Officer Podgorski saw exhaust coming from the Camry. Officer Podgorski made contact with the driver, HENRY BRIDGES [DOB REDACTED], and smelled an odor of alcoholic beverage coming from inside the Camry. Bridges’ eyes were red and glossy. Bridges said he last had a drink a few hours ago when asked.
Bridges claimed the car was off and he was calling an Uber. The passenger said the car was only running to heat the Camry. Officer Podgorski had Bridges step out of the Camry, and he smelled an odor of alcohol coming from Bridges. Bridges fared poorly on the horizontal gaze nystagmus test. Bridges said he had a past knee injury so other physical tests were not conducted. Bridges provided a preliminary breath test sample that registered an alcohol concentration of 0.237. Officer Podgorski arrested Bridges.
Officer Podgorski read the Breath Test Advisory to Bridges. Bridges asked to speak to an attorney, and he was given his cell phone. Bridges wrote down several numbers, and he said he would call his attorney later. Bridges refused to take a breath test invoking his fifth amendment rights and asking to speak to his attorney. Bridges said he already took a breath test, and he refused to provide a breath sample on the DataMaster even after being advised that refusal was a crime. Bridges declined a custodial statement.
Bridges has 3 qualified prior impaired driving incidents within the past 10 years: On October 19, 2025, Bridges’ driver’s license was revoked from an DWI incident on September 29, 2025. Bridges is currently charged with gross misdemeanor DWI from that incident in Hennepin County District Court file 27-CR-26-3326. Bridges had a BAC of 0.215 in his urine. On August 27, 2025, Bridges was sentenced on a gross misdemeanor DWI test refusal in Wright County District Court file 86-CR-25-175. On January 11, 2022, Bridges was sentenced on a DUI in Clark, County, Nevada.
