On March 16, 2026, around 11:29 A.M., Woodbury Police were contacted by Dick's Sporting Goods employee about a theft that had just occurred from their store in the city of Woodbury, Washington County, Minnesota. Employee provided a description of the person who took the items as well as the license plate of the vehicle they left from the parking lot. Employee provided a list of the items taken: Softball bat ($449.99) Backpack (estimated $99.99) Cleats (estimated $69.99) Glove (estimated $100-300) The total of items taken is estimated to be at least $720. The person was later identified as Marguerite Louise Scholz, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein.
A vehicle driven by Defendant had been stopped by Ramsey County later that day. Officer was later able to have telephone contact with Defendant. Defendant acknowledged that she had her daughter with her at Dick's, but that her daughter didn't know she was taking items. Defendant admitted to stealing merchandise but said it was only $300 to $400 worth of merchandise. A check of Defendant's criminal history shows convictions for the following: 1.
