On December 6, 2025, Edina Police Officers responded to a burglary report at Kowalski's Market in the Southdale Center, 324 Southdale Center, Edina, Hennepin County. The reporting party, Southdale Security D. H., stated that a female later identified as TIFFANY LATTEVE WATSON, Defendant herein, was observed on surveillance entering the employee area of Kowalski's. The area which she entered into is not open to the general public and is clearly marked as an employee’s only area with large, bolded lettering on both double doors.
D. H. Recognized the Defendant has a previously trespassed individual. Officers confirmed that the Defendant was trespassed from Kowalski's for a prior theft incident on October 17,2025. Officers discovered several items that belonged to an employee, B. F., of Kowalski's in her backpack. B. F. Recovered his items and stated that they were located in his backpack in the Kowalski's employee area. Officers also located a Kate Spade wallet that was confirmed stolen. Surveillance showed that the Defendant entered the Kate Spade store at 1230 hours, concealed the wallet in her jacket, and left the store at 1236 hours without attempting to pay for it.
Officers were advised by employees it was against their store policy to prosecute theft. The Defendant had several active warrants, and she was placed under arrest. The Defendant is currently on probation with a stay of imposition in ••-CR-••-••••, Felony Theft. The Defendant also has new pending cases in case file ••-CR-••-•••• for theft and ••-CR-••-•••• Disorderly Conduct. The Defendant also has convictions and contacts in the following states: Tennessee, Colorado, California, Nevada, Arizona, North Dakota, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
Given the transient nature of the Defendant's contacts with law enforcement and court cases, continued criminal activity, and probation violations, the State is requesting this case issue as a warrant.
