On December 25, 2025, officers of the Columbia Heights Police Department were dispatched to a residence on 4th St NE in the city of Columbia Heights, Anoka County, Minnesota, for a report of a domestic assault. When officers arrived, they made contact with A. B. Who told them that her boyfriend, Christopher Allen Hunt, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, had been screaming at her throughout the evening and had been throwing things at her. By the time officers arrived at the residence, Defendant had left.
A. B. Told officers that they had gone to see Defendant’s mother in the hospital earlier in the day and got into a verbal argument. She further stated that Defendant began yelling at her in the car on the way home and continued screaming at her once they got home. A. B. Then went upstairs to her bedroom and sat down on the bed, where Defendant continued to scream at her. A. B. Reported being fearful of Defendant because he came closer and closer to her and blocked her when she tried to leave. Defendant then began throwing thing inside of the bedroom.
A. B. Also stated that there were cameras inside the home which recorded the incident. In the video, Defendant can be heard screaming and A. B. Can be heard repeatedly asking Defendant to get away from her because he is scaring her. Officers located Defendant driving a blue Chevrolet Silverado going northbound on University Avenue in Columbia Heights. Officers initiate a traffic stop and made contact with Defendant, who told them that he had been in an argument with his partner because she did not say goodbye to his mother at the hospital.
When officers asked Defendant to step out of the car and told him he was under arrest, Defendant put the vehicle into drive and sped away. Officers followed Defendant with lights and sirens activated but eventually lost him. Defendant was eventually arrested in St. Paul. Defendant has two prior qualified domestic violence convictions: Violation of a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order, court file ••-CR-••-••••, conviction date 03/08/2022; Violation of a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order, court file 19-HA-CR-18-1926, conviction date 03/07/2019.
