On 04/07/2026 at about 1021 hours, a St. Paul Police Officer was in the Walgreen’s store at [ADDRESS REDACTED] N in St. Paul, Ramey County when a suspect, later identified as Nathaniel Kimble HUDSON [DOB REDACTED], was observed selecting merchandise and concealing it in his jacket pocket. The officer confronted HUDSON and told him he needed to put the merchandise back. HUDSON said he already did put the merchandise back. But, when the officer questioned HUDSON about the merchandise in his pocket, HUDSON reached in the pocket, retrieved the merchandise, and placed it on a shelf.
HUDSON initially refused to identify himself and said he probably had a felony warrant. Eventually, HUDSON dis identify himself and police determined that he had been trespassed from the Walgreens store on 8-24-2025 (CN: 25-152705). Walgreens personnel confirmed that HUDSON was a known shoplifter and had previously been trespassed. HUDSON was arrested. During a search incident to arrest, police found additional merchandise that was likely stolen in a backpack he was carrying. HUDSON was uncooperative, refused to get into a squad, and claimed he had swallowed fentanyl.
HUDSON was transported to Regions Hospital. While there, HUDSON was combative and uncooperative. When Regions' staff tried to restrain him, HUDSON bit a security guard’s hand. HUDSON has three previous QDVROs within the last three years: 4th Degree Assault; 62-CR-24-303 ([DOB REDACTED]) Domestic Abuse - Violate No Contact Order; 62-CR-22-5217 ([DOB REDACTED]) Domestic Abuse - Violate No Contact Order; 27-CR-23-4367 ([DOB REDACTED]) HUDSON also has a previous conviction for Simple Robbery (62-CR-20-4741 ([DOB REDACTED])) within the last five years for which he received a felony sentence.
