On December 5, 2025, officers responded to a theft occurring at Nordstrom Rack in Bloomington, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Loss prevention reported that a male was observed in the shoe section cutting security sensors with wire cutters. The male did this to two pairs of shoes, concealed them, and passed all points of sale without attempting to pay. The male was stopped and detained and identified as Gionti Makkiel Roberts [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. Officers learned the Defendant had an active felony warrant.

During a search incident to arrest officers located the wire cutters. The total value of the shoes was $155.94. The State is requesting the complaint be issued by warrant as the state has concerns for the Defendant’s appearance by summons as the Defendant has an active warrant due to failing to appear for court in 27- CR-25-27646.
