At around 4:30 AM on September 4, 2025, officers stopped a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu bearing Minnesota license plates LEX676 at Jackson Street and Sims Street, St. Paul, Ramsey County. The Malibu had failed to properly signal a turn. Officer Johnson made contact with the driver who he recognized from previous contacts as ALANTAE ANTONIO LOUIS BRYANT [DOB REDACTED]. Officer Johnson dealt with Bryant during a domestic where Bryant’s leg was injured. Officer Johnson saw Bryant had a leg brace on their right leg, and he said, “I know you.
How is your leg?” Bryant denied Officer Johnson knew them, and they shifted the car into drive and fled the traffic stop. Officers found a phone number for Bryant, called it, and asked the person who answered why they fled. The officer on the phone call recognized the person on the other end as the same driver Officer Johnson spoke to. Bryant claimed they was on bed rest, did not have a vehicle, and had not fled from anyone. The officer told Bryant that they have always been respectful to Bryant, and they thought Bryant had fled due to driving with a license that was cancelled as inimical to public safety.
Bryant asked why officers were following them. Bryant said they had recently had surgery, did not have rides anywhere, and was scared. Bryant added, “I don’t know—my anxiety—I’m sorry.” Bryant accused officers of trying to incriminate her. Officers told Bryant they saw her driving the car that fled. Bryant committed this offense while pending trial on a fleeing police in a motor vehicle charge in Ramsey County District Court file ••-CR-••-••••. Bryant also has 2 prior DWI convictions.
