Tendip Chugar

On about August 26, 2026, officers responded to an assault call at an apartment in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. When they arrived, they spoke with the victim who said he lives with Defendant Tendip Chugar [DOB REDACTED] and pays him rent to live in the same unit. Victim noted that when he came home that day from work, Defendant was agitated and demanding rent money from the victim [NAME REDACTED] was not due yet. Defendant became angry and began threatening victim and chasing victim with a kitchen knife.

Victim was scared for his life. While inside the apartment, officers saw a paper towel with a note on it that read " Money today I have to pay Thom No Excess Pls." Officers spoke with victim the following day and victim [NAME REDACTED] told officers on the 26th and confirmed that Defendant picked up a chef's knife with about an eight-inch blade and was holding the knife in the air and was making stabbing motions toward victim while Defendant demanded money or keys from the victim. Victim was scared for his safety and thought Defendant was going to stab him.

Defendant is currently in custody.
