On March 8, 2026, at approximately 8:18 P.M., Officer Mueller of the Austin Police Department was dispatched to 611 9th Avenue SW in the City of Austin, County of Mower, for a report of a verbal domestic. Officer Mueller arrived and made contact with HOLLY MAY BOLLINGER, DOB/063091, the defendant herein, who stated that she got into an argument with her husband, Victim A. She stated that they were arguing because she told him that she wanted to move out. The defendant stated that during the argument Victim A grabbed her nose and pulled her towards him.
She stated the defendant ended up leaving the residence with their son and claimed he took their cell phones. She stated that she was calling the police to make Victim A know she is serious and does not want him to return for the night. Mueller observed a small amount of dried blood near the bottom of her left nostril. The defendant said it did not concern her much. Officer Mueller learned Victim A was at another residence in the City of Austin. Mueller responded to the residence and spoke with Victim A. Victim A stated that he had come home that evening and the defendant immediately started accusing him of cheating on her.
Victim A stated that he decided he was not going to stay there and as he was walking to the door, the defendant attacked him. Victim A said the defendant scratched up his face and bit his arm while she was behind him. Victim A acknowledged that he hit the defendant’s nose when he was trying to push her away after he got bitten. Mueller observed several scratches across Victim A’s face and chest, and a fresh bite mark on the back of his right tricep. Officer Mueller then spoke with Witness 1 (a 17-year-old juvenile male). Witness 1 was present during the incident.
Witness 1 stated that he was at the residence watching tv with their son. He heard screaming and saw the defendant scratch Victim A’s face and bite him. Witness 1 said he did not see Victim A do anything back to the defendant but once he saw the altercation they left the house. Officer Mueller then returned to the defendant’s residence and spoke with her again. Mueller asked the defendant if she attacked Victim A. The defendant paused for several moments and then asked officers to feel the back of her head.
Mueller felt a small goose egg on the back of her head. The defendant said, “so yeah I attacked him back.” The defendant then said it was complicated and later said she was packing stuff up when the defendant came into the bedroom and tackled her and hit her head against the wall. The defendant then said she scratched him back and went to the bathroom where their son was bathing. The defendant then claimed that while she was in there, the defendant came in and pushed her against the door, so she bit him.
The defendant also claimed that Victim A bit her thumb, but Mueller did not observe any marks. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Mower County Jail. A review of the defendant’s criminal history reflects prior convictions for gross misdemeanor Domestic Assault dated March 22, 2019 (Olmsted County District Court file ••-CR-••-••••); 4th Degree Assault dated November 30, 2021 (Olmsted County District Court file ••-CR-••-••••).
