On April 15, 2026, detectives with the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office West Metro Drug Task Force executed a warrant for the person of QUENTIN TOBIAS GRAVES SR., [DOB REDACTED], DEFENDANT herein and his vehicle. Your complainant had been investigating DEFENDANT since January regarding ongoing narcotics sales. DEFENDANT was located exiting [ADDRESS REDACTED] North in Minneapolis, Hennepin County Minnesota. Detectives observed him enter his vehicle, a 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix. Detectives then stopped DEFENDANT in his vehicle.
Detectives searched DEFENDANT’S person and vehicle pursuant to the warrants and recovered: - A green latex glove with plastic baggies and field-tested positive cocaine in DEFENDANT’S groin area - A red container holding pills, an iPhone, and $1283 cash in DEFENDANT’S pockets - A digital scale in the driver’s side door panel - A pill bottle holding pills and additional loose pills in the center console. The pills from the red container in DEFENDANT’S pocket were identified as oxycodone hydrochloride (8 total, a schedule II-controlled substance) and cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride (1 pill, not a controlled substance). The pills from the center console were in a bottle in the name of “JA” and the prescription was for alprazolam.
Inside the container was a baggie holding 35 oxycodone hydrochloride pills and 11 alprazolam pills (schedule IV). The cocaine in DEFENDANT’S groin area was packaged into multiple smaller bags consistent with sale. The total weight was 38.51 grams. The quantity of drugs, packaging, digital scale, and cash all indicate intent to sell. Detectives then obtained a search warrant for [ADDRESS REDACTED], which was the residence DEFENDANT had exited. No other occupants were located inside. Detectives recovered 2.84 and.71 grams of field- tested positive fentanyl, and 1.08 grams field tested positive cocaine.
DEFENDANT has the following prior felony convictions: - Receiving stolen property from 06/02/2010 - Aid/Abet Theft of Motor Vehicle from 08/18/2010 - 5th Degree Possession x3 from 11/09/15, 09/05/207, and 06/07/23 - Domestic Assault by Strangulation from 10/06/200 - Threats of Violence from 04/15/24 - 1st Degree Drugs from 06/17/23 (on probation - dispo departure) DEFENDANT has a pending charge for prohibited person in possession of a firearm 27-CR-25-19084 which he was out on conditional release for.
DEFENDANT is currently in custody.
