On 04/19/2025, Officers from the Blaine Police Department were clearing a call related to a house party in the City of Blaine, Anoka County, when they observed a female, later identified as L. A. E., crying in the street nearby. While speaking with L. A. E., she explained that she had just been sexually assaulted by an unknown male, later identified as Johniton Yang, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter the Defendant. L. A. E. Stated that she had attended the house party with several friends. While at the party, Defendant began touching her and led her into an upstairs bedroom, where the interaction was quickly interrupted by other patrons.
L. A. E. Followed the Defendant out to an unknown car where he became physically aggressive. Defendant forcibly pushed L. A. E.’s head into his lap forcing oral sex and then engaging in non-consensual vaginal penetration using both his fingers and penis. During the assault, Defendant struck L. A. E., pulled her hair, and strangled her, causing her difficulty breathing, dizziness, and throat pain. After the assault. Defendant pushed L. A. E. Out of the vehicle and left her in the cold weather without a phone.
The State requests a body only complaint warrant in this matter and requests that the Defendant be held in custody until appropriate bail and conditions of release be set pursuant to Minn. R. Crim. Pro 6.02, Subd. 1, to include the issuance of appropriate protective orders.
