On February 7, 2026, at approximately 6:37 P.M., an adult male, hereinafter "Victim," came to the Brooklyn Center Police Department to report a robbery that had just occurred at the Super 8 hotel, in Brooklyn Park, Hennepin County. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had an argument with his girlfriend earlier that morning, so he decided to come stay with a friend who he knew was staying in room #241 at the Super 8 hotel. He arrived around 6:00 A.M. Victim [NAME REDACTED] in the room the entire day, and people were coming and going from the room at different times.
He had his wallet and phone plugged into a charger and at some point, during the day, he noticed they were both missing. At around 5:00 P.M., a woman he knew as "Shay," later identified as MASHIRA NICOLE BRADFORD, hereinafter "Defendant," entered the hotel room with two phones in her hands. Victim recognized one of the phones as his cell phone. He confronted her about having his phone, and she tried leaving the room. He blocked her from leaving, and Defendant used the other phone to make a call. A short time later, several individuals showed up outside the hotel room and made their way into the room.
A male wearing a sliver, puffy coat was holding something in his hand. This man made the comment, "Do you really want to die over your phone?" At this time, three males that entered the room started to physically assault Victim [NAME REDACTED]. The males and Defendant then left the room. Victim tried to make a report to the hotel staff, but when they would not call 911, he came directly to the police station. Officers observed swelling above Victim's left eye and a cut near his upper lip. Officers were familiar with Defendant from prior contacts with the Super 8 hotel.
They went to the Super 8 hotel and requested surveillance video from earlier that day. Officers saw at approximately 4:50 P.M., Defendant entered room #241 with a phone in her hand. At 4:53 P.M., a group of three males and two females proceed to room #241. There is a struggle outside the room, and a male wearing a silver puffy coat uses his shoulder to force his way into the hotel room. At 4:58 P.M., all of the individuals who were just outside the room, including Defendant, are seen exiting room #241. At 5:12 P.M., Victim is seen exiting the hotel room.
Officers later inquired with Super 8 hotel staff if Defendant was still staying at the hotel. Officers located Defendant at the hotel and placed her under arrest. Defendant was taken to the Hennepin County Jail where she remians in custody.
