On January 3, 2025 Deputies Loomis and Peterson were dispatched to an address in Stewartville, Minnesota regarding for an assist call. Complainant had called to report that one of his company vehicles was parked at the address and he wanted standby to retrieve it. One of his employees who had been arrested had parked the vehicle at the address, and the employee's girlfriend, CORREEN RANAE BOWEN, [DOB REDACTED] had called him to come get the truck. The vehicle is equipped with a dash camera inside the cab.
Complainant had reviewed the video and seen that Bowen had called someone named Ricardo to come and remove some tools from the truck. The video also showed items from inside the truck were missing. Video showed Bowen removing items from the truck. Deputies arrived and met with complainant. Deputies reviewed video that had recorded Bowen inside the truck when she states that the truck was in her driveway and it was hers until the next day, and states that she had everything that Ricardo can want to to come and take it.
As deputies were talking with complainant, Bowen walked out of the garage. They showed Bowen the video and she confirmed that it was her in the truck. Complainant stated that Bowen knew that the items in the truck belonged to him because he had talked top her earlier and told her it was his stuff. As they were talking to Bowen she stated to come and get complainant's stuff out of the garage. Bowen then walked into the garage and locked the doors behind her and turned off all of the lights. Deputy Peterson knocked on the door and got no response.
He also knocked on the front door and got no response, but could hear voices inside. Deputy Peterson could hear Bowen inside talking to someone and the other person telling her to open the door. Through the front window Deputy Peterson observed an older female seated in a recliner and Bowen kneeling in front of her with her head in her lap. The older female had a concerned look on her face with tears running down it and Bowen was holding her legs preventing her from getting up. The older female then stated "I can't come to the door, she won't let me." Bowen then stated "Mom, shut up!" After almost 40 minutes of knocking and asking Bowen to come outside, Bowen responded telling the deputies to leave and stop banging on the windows.
Bowen yelled "you better get off my property you piece of s***." Bowen ultimately came to the front door to yell profanities and to tell the deputies she would throw the keys to the truck into the garage and then they could leave the property. The lights came on in the garage and as Bowen opened the door to come out she raised her right arm as she was coming towards the deputy and yelled "hey you f****** piece of s***." Deputy Peterson grabbed Bowen's right arm to prevent her from possibly striking him and told her she was under arrest and Deputy Loomis came to assist with the arrest.
