Probable Cause
On or about January 10, 2026, Law Enforcement attempted to pull over a vehicle for expired registration tabs traveling northbound on Baugh St NW, just north of 181st Avenue NW in the City of Nowthen, Anoka County, MN. The driver, later identified as JOSEPH LYLE JOHNSON [DOB REDACTED], failed to pull over despite Law Enforcement activating their emergency lights and siren. Defendant was subsequently detained and identified after he fled from the vehicle while attempting to enter his nearby residence.
During a post-Miranda statement, Defendant admitted to fleeing from Law Enforcement after he saw the emergency lights illuminate behind him while driving the vehicle.
