On or about Aprill 11, 2026, officers from the Coon Rapids Police Department received a report of financial card fraud occurring at a Best Buy and Game Stop store in the City of Coon Rapids, Anoka County, Minnesota. The Victim reported the previous evening he had been at a bar in St. Paul, where he believed his wallet had been stolen. The victim stated he later received notifications that his debit card had been used without his permission at a Best Buy in Coon Rapids for a total amount of $442.23 and a GameStop store in Coon Rapids for $594.68. For a total of $1,036.91. Officers contacted GameStop employees and are still awaiting follow up information.
Officers contacted Best Buy staff, who located the receipt associated with the Victim’s card. Surveillance video showed two males entering the store, one wearing full camouflage clothing and the other wearing a purple baseball cap and green “Bass Pro” jacket. The man in the green “Bass Pro” jacket, later identified as, ANTWAN LEON YOUNG [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant, selected and purchased a pair of Ray-Ban Meta sunglasses for a total of $442.23, using the Victim’s debit card. The two men departed in a pickup truck.
Using FLOCK cameras, officers positively identified the vehicle and discovered it was registered to Defendant. Officers compared known photographs of Defendant to the Best Buy surveillance footage and confirmed Defendant matched the depiction of the man using the Victim’s debit card.
