On or about November 7, 2025 at around 6:47 P.M. An investigator for Burlington on Elm Creek Blvd N in Maple Grove, Hennepin County, MN observed a black male in a blue jacket over a white hoodie over a baseball cap, distressed jeans and white shoes pushing a shopping cart inside the store. Two other associates, a petite female with light skin wearing all black with her long black hair in a bun and a black male dressed all in black with the hood of his jacket up with a thermal head wrap on with only his face out, added items to the first suspect's cart.
The first suspect filled up the cart with products and was joined by the other two suspects who placed as much product in the cart as it would hold. The suspect exited the with the full cart out of the rear fire door. The investigator for the Burlington store estimated the amount of loss as $1,219.58. Police identified the black male dressed all in black with the hood of his jacket up with a thermal head wrap on as DAULON IVRA SAMPSON [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. Later that night, at around 10:58 P.M., University of Minnesota police located a stolen white Jeep Cherokee on Brook Avenue SE. Police observed two people standing next to it.
Police detained them and arrested them. Police identified one of them as Defendant by his fingerprint. In the Jeep was a multitude of items that were part of the theft from Burlington earlier that day. Defendant was identified as one of the Burlington theft suspects based on his unique facial tattoos. Defendant is currently held in custody, so the State asks that this be charged as a warrant.
