On December 21, 2025, at approximately 7:00 A.M., officers responded to the Lake Street light rail station in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, for an assault report. They spoke with A. A. Who told them that he had been on the train when Dtrell David Larkins, hereafter defendant, approached him with a knife in hand, scaring A. A. Defendant said to A. A. "do you remember me, talking all that s***" and then punched A. A. In the face. A. A. Had a cut on his lip when speaking to officers. There was an unreported incident the night prior on a metro bus where the defendant had sprayed mace at A. A. Defendant was located at a nearby light rail platform matching the description and then identified.

Upon searching the defendant, officers found a folding knife, pepper spray and a stun gun in his pocket. Defendant is currently in custody.
