That on September 14, 2025, at approximately 4:35AM, Officer Sanders #402 was dispatched to the Renaissance Hotel, Room 411 ([ADDRESS REDACTED] W, in Bloomington, Hennepin County, Minnesota) for a report of a verbal and physical domestic. Call notes stated that a male had pushed the female RP down, she has a cut, was requesting an ambulance, and that there were no weapons. Upon arrival, the officer was met by the reporting party, SB, who complained of head pain from being pushed over by the suspect, Michael Jean Scurry [DOB REDACTED]. Scurry flew SB out from Atlanta and the two were involved in a romantic relationship.
SB stated that the two of them went to a club earlier in the night and Scurry became upset as SB was talking to another male at the club. They reportedly argued at the club and then continued to argue once they got back to their hotel room. SB stated that she got her own room at the hotel but returned to Scurry's room to try to reconcile and fix the situation. Scurry had reportedly been sitting down on the bed when she returned to the room and the conversation escalated again. Scurry reportedly got up and pushed SB with both hands striking her in the upper chest, knocking her down, causing her head to strike a side table in the room because of what she had said to him.
Scurry then allegedly stood over SB in an intimidating manner making her feel threatened and afraid that he would hurt her. Scurry left the scene after SB advised that she would be calling the police. Police made phone contact with Scurry who denied the alleged offense. Additionally, Scurry allegedly called SB's Mom and tried to get her to drop the charges. A KOPS alert was created for PC Misdemeanor Domestic Assault on Scurry. SB noted during the victim [NAME REDACTED] is known to carry or have access to firearms.
A roll call note was created for this incident as well. Based on the above, your complainant states that on September 14, 2025, within the corporate limits of the City of Bloomington, Hennepin County, State of Minnesota, Michael Jean Scurry, then and there being, did violate the above-listed provisions.
