On November 20, 2025, around 9:39pm, Blaine Police Officer Jake Cree was traveling north on Polk St NE, approaching Clover Leak Pkwy in Blaine, Anoka County, MN, when he observed a truck with MN plate REW387 cross over the right fog line. The truck then straddled the two-lane lines at the intersection and failed to stop at the stop sign. Officer Cree pulled behind the truck and activated his emergency lights. The truck then accelerated into a cul-de-sac, then into the driveway and backyard of his residence at [ADDRESS REDACTED] NE. The truck stopped in the backyard.
The driver, later identified as SYDNEY BOSIRE [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, got out of the truck. Officer Cree attempted to arrest Defendant, but he pulled away and grabbed the truck to prevent being handcuffed. During the struggle, Defendant was yelling at someone inside the residence. Officer Cree noticed Defendant's speech was slurred, his breath smelled of alcohol, and he had watery, bloodshot eyes. Defendant continued to resist and managed to get free and run away on foot. Officers eventually located Defendant hiding atop a shed in the backyard of a residence on 95th Ave NE. Defendant initially refused to obey commands to get down.
When he finally complied, he pushed Officer Cree and kept resisting arrest while on the ground. Once officers had him handcuffed, they carried him to a squad car because he refused to walk on his own. He also kept sticking his legs out to trip officers as they were carrying him, and officers had to force him into the squad car because he continued resisting. Office Cree then obtained a search warrant for Defendant's blood or urine because he was taken to Mercy Hospital after complaining of chest and foot pain.
At the hospital, Defendant remained uncooperative and had to be secured to a bed. A blood draw was performed at 11:40pm. Results of the blood analysis are pending. During a search of the truck, officers found a wallet belonging to Defendant, multiple empty and partially empty shooter (mini) bottles of alcohol, and a full, unopened bottle of brandy. Defendant has three prior impaired driving convictions within the past ten years. He was convicted on 5/19/25 of Criminal Vehicular Operation in Anoka County, file ••-CR-••-••••, with an offense date of 9/19/24. He was convicted on 1/2/24 of DWI in Hennepin County, file ••-CR-••-••••, with an offense date of 8/13/23. Lastly, he was convicted on 6/11/21 of DWI in Adams County, Colorado, with an offense date of 11/10/20 (ICR #[PHONE REDACTED] and docket #D0012020CR003838). COMPLAINT AMENDMENT: Count 3 has been added because the MN BCA lab report dated 12/3/25 indicates Defendant's BAC was 0.144.
