Your complainant is employed by the Columbia Heights Police Department. In that capacity, complainant has reviewed official reports filed and has learned substantially the following: On November 6, 2025, at approximately 1:00 PM, Officers Wilson and Vaughn were on patrol approaching the intersection of 44th Ave NE and Van Buren St NE in Columbia Heights, Anoka County, Minnesota, where they observed a 2012 black Cadillac SRX bearing Mn plate #[PLATE REDACTED] fail to stop at a posted stop sign at the intersection, nearly causing a collision with the police squad vehicle.
Officers initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, who verbally identified herself as Jordan Lee Frank and noted there was also a female passenger present in the vehicle. While conducting routine checks on the driver, Officer Wilson was notified by dispatch that the vehicle and its two female occupants were suspects involved in theft at Dollar General, that just occurred, located at 865 45th Avenue NE in Hilltop, Minnesota. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers observed two Dollar General baskets filled with merchandise in the back seat.
Officers advised the passenger initially identified herself verbally as Lindsey Bassett, [DOB REDACTED]. Upon querying the name and comparing the individual to the associated photo, officers determined that the passenger did not match the identity provided. Further investigation revealed the passenger to be Sara Ann Bassett, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein. Officers also confirmed that Ms. Bassett had multiple active warrants for her arrest.
