On or about March 31, 2026, at about 6 AM, officers with the Brooklyn Park Police Department were dispatched to a mental health/welfare check on the 9400 block of Fallgold Parkway North in Brooklyn Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The homeowner stated that her husband Peter Alexandrovic Kaganovski [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, was likely experiencing a mental health episode and needed help. Officers did not locate him at the home but were able to see that he was recently arrested 3 days prior and after being processed was brought to his mother’s residence.
Officers next drove to that residence. When Officers arrived on scene, the Defendant’s mother invited Officers inside stating that the Defendant was present and something was wrong with him. Officers located the Defendant peeing in the sink and he told them that he was just doing what God told him to do, including destroying the inside of a residence on Fallgold Parkway. The Defendant then showed officers a leopard-printed fur coat, a leather collar with metal studs, and sparkly sunglasses. He told Officers they weren't his and that he got them from inside of a house somewhere.
The Defendant stated that he didn't know the people that owned the house, he wasn't familiar with who owned the property, and that he walked into the house uninvited. He stated that he went into the house where he talked with the cats and dogs that live at the house and that he did not encounter any other people while he was there. He then left the house, taking the articles of clothing with him. The Defendant then accompanied the Officers and directed them to the house that he took the items from.
Once there the residents came to the door and identified the items as theirs and stated they had been sleeping at the house when the items were taken. They also stated that they did not know the Defendant and he had no reason to be in their home. The Defendant is in custody on this charge.
