On 08-20-2025, law enforcement was notified by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) that TYRONE SPENCER, Jr. [DOB REDACTED] (aka Tyrone Junior Spencer [DOB REDACTED] and Tyrone Spencer [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, was in custody in Hennepin County Jail (HCJ). Law enforcement reviewed BCA records and learned that Defendant was non-compliant with his predatory offender registration requirements. Law enforcement learned that Defendant has been non-complaint since 07-02-2023. Defendant is required to register following his conviction for 2nd degree sexual assault of a child.
Then, on 05-13-2019, Defendant was convicted for Domestic Assault-Felony. Based on his prior CSC and completion of original registration, Defendant is now required to register under 243.167, for Crime Against a Person. Defendant is currently required to register until 05-02-2031. Law enforcement learned that Defendant’s last registered address was [ADDRESS REDACTED], City of Minneapolis, County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota. Law enforcement contacted Pursuit Hometel, which is located at the [ADDRESS REDACTED] address, and staff told law enforcement that Defendant was discharged from that residence on 01-02-2024. Law enforcement then spoke with Defendant while he was at the HCJ and he stated that he had been living with his girlfriend at a residence located on the 2600 block of Blaisdell Avenue North and was now staying at a residence located on the 2500 block of North 4th Street.
Defendant indicated that he knows that he needs to report changes to local law enforcement. Law enforcement reviewed Defendant’s Predatory Offender Packet and learned that on 07-30-2022, he initialed and signed the document indicating he understand his registration requirements, including requirement to register his address. Defendant is not in custody. The State is requesting a warrant because Defendant has been non-compliant with his registration requirement since July 2023.
