On or about May 21, 2025, Minneapolis police took a report of a stolen motorcycle from an the parking area of an apartment complex located on the [ADDRESS REDACTED] South block in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The motorcycle was a Honda CBR500. The victim [NAME REDACTED] was surveillance that show three suspects cut the wheel lock and loaded the motorcycle into the back of a truck. Minneapolis police obtained surveillance footage of it. Surveillance shows a person, identified as CHRISTOPHER THANUSOCK BOUNPHALAKSA [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, walking in the parking area and helping steal the motorcycle.
Specifically, the surveillance video shows a Chevrolet blazer drive directly next to the motorcycle where the suspects place the motorcycle into the blazer and leave. The suspect identified as Defendant was observed on surveillance camera by a Minneapolis police sergeant who has personal knowledge of Defendant. Defendant has a unique gait and during investigation into a shooting where Defendant appears to have a shorter stride in his right footstep and does not appear to take a full stride; creating an uneven gait and swaying motion left to right.
In this surveillance footage, that same gait appears. Furthermore, the vehicle involved in stealing the motorcycle has associations with known accomplices of Defendant. Defendant is currently in custody at the Hennepin County Jail on other charges. Thus, the State requests a warrant issue for Defendant.
