On December 2, 2025, a Metro Transit Police Department investigator received an officer safety tip regarding a Facebook post from a male identified as NOAH JOHN MCCOURT, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant. The investigator located the post, which was under Defendant’s name and profile on Facebook, and was posted on December 2, 2025 at 9:30 A.M. The post stated: “One day they are going to label me a cop killer. I’ll just walk my ass into Metro Transit PD Headquarters, grab my Glock out of my bag and start squeezing.
They don’t have to worry about assault on a cope because next time its murder. You are pathetic and one day imma see the fear flash in your f****** eyes as I put a bullet in the back of your head like the animals you are. I hate you. I’ll gladly go down just to level the playing field for a good ten minutes and just take out as many of you as I could.” Metro Transit Police Department is located in the city of Minneapolis, in Hennepin County, in the state of Minnesota. Of relevance, Defendant is pending two separate Assault on Police Officer cases.
Defendant has also recently posted regarding “suicide by co,” and another posting with a cartoon image of a police officer lying on his back where he wrote “f*** all of that talkin we can go to war, leave ya brain marinatin on the blvd.” Defendant is out of custody. Due to Defendant’s history of assault on officers and the threatened violence against police officers, the State contends that Defendant poses a significant public safety risk. Therefore, the State requests a rush warrant for Defendant.
