Jesse Lee Axelson

On March 13, 2026, law enforcement was dispatched to a domestic assault that occurred in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota. J. O. K., fully identified in police reports called to report A. K., fully identified in police reports, had called her and was whispering that Jesse Lee Axelson, [DOB REDACTED], defendant herein, was physically assaulting her. A. K. Reported defendant came to the residence earlier and told her to take him to the liquor store. A. K. Purchased a bottle of vodka and the two went back to the residence.

While at the residence defendant was drinking. A. K. Poured herself a drink at one point and defendant swatted the drink out of her hand and into the wall. After defendant had been drinking for some time be became upset. Defendant dumped the cat litter all over the floor. A. K. Vacuumed it up. Defendant came over to A. K. And started to choke her. A. K. Reported she was unable to breathe when defendant choked her. When A. K. Asked defendant why he did that he said he thought they were "having fun." Defendant at one point grabbed a staple gun for something inside the bedroom.

He came out of the bedroom and put the staple gun to A. K.'s arm and leg and threatened to use it. Defendant also attempted to staple the cats. A. K. Said this went on for approximately 10-15 minutes. After, defendant hit A. K. In the back of the head three times and ribs once with a closed fist. Approximately 45 minutes later defendant urinated on the floor. A. K. Emailed officers about what was going on. A. K. Was afraid defendant was going to kill her due to him physically assaulting her in the past.

Defendant and A. K. Are family or household members. In a Mirandized statement defendant admitted to assaulting A. K. In the past, but denied assaulting her on this day. Defendant was previously convicted on 02/05/2024 of Gross Misdemeanor DANCO Violation in Aitkin County District Court File No. 01-CR-23-446, and convicted on 06/28/2023 of Gross Misdemeanor Domestic Assault in Stearns County District Court File No. 73-CR-23-4597. Complainant has reason to believe and does believe that all of the above information is true and correct.

The above facts constitute your complainant's basis for believing that the above-named defendant, on or about the 13th day of March, 2026, in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota, committed the offenses described herein.
