On April 20, 2026, at 2354 hours, St. Paul police officers responded to 966 Arcade, St. Paul, Ramsey County, on a domestic assault. Officers spoke to DXN, [DOB REDACTED]. He stated that he and his girlfriend had been smoking crack. His girlfriend, Phoung Thi Tran, [DOB REDACTED], was getting aggressive, which happens when she uses crack. He told her to leave the house. She grabbed a pair of scissors from the dish drying rack and stabbed him once in the chest. He said he grabbed her neck and pushed her away.
Officers observed a small, non-deep laceration or scratch over his right pectoral area. Officers also observed and recovered a pair of scissors from the dish drying rack. Officers arrested Tran on scene. In a post-Miranda interview, she admitted that she stabbed at DXN with the scissors because wanted sex and she did not. She stated that she also slapped and kicked him to stop his advances. When asked about using the scissors, she nodded her head and made a stabbing motion. She said that DXN hits her a lot.
She had a small red mark on her neck.
