On 11/1/2025 at approximately 23:35 hours, PCSO deputies responded to a disturbance call at 9XXXX Windemere Way in Sturgeon Lake, Pine County. Victim [NAME REDACTED] reported her husband, Justin Robert Peterson, [DOB REDACTED] (now referred to as "Defendant") was breaking property, she additionally stated he was under the influence and that he uses cocaine. Victim [NAME REDACTED] reported Defendant got into a white Ford F250 and left the property westbound in the truck. Deputies arrived and made contact with Victim RP, who appeared visibly upset and was crying.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] has been married for the past twelve years to Defendant. Victim [NAME REDACTED] has noticed behavior changes in Defendant, and that he was not acting like his normal self. Victim [NAME REDACTED] has been sneaking out at night and turning his phone location off, so she has no idea where he is. Victim RP said she confronted Defendant last night about a $1, 000 withdrawal from their bank account. Victim [NAME REDACTED] has been sneaking out to gamble at the casino, and that he has recently been using cocaine.
Tonight, Victim RP stated she and Defendant went to a friend's house in Moose Lake. Victim RP stated and some point during the gathering she observed a friend and Defendant verbally arguing. At that point they decided to drive back home to Sturgeon Lake. Victim [NAME REDACTED] during the drive they started to verbally argue and at one point Defendant got out of the vehicle and started to walk on foot. Victim RP was able to convince him to get back in the vehicle, but she stated she had never seen him this angry recently.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] once back in the vehicle, Defendant opened the center console and started throwing things around. Some of the items hit Victim RP. Victim RP stated she felt scared as this was happening. She stated she stayed in the vehicle because she thought if she attemped to exit, Defendant would "get physical" with her. She stated she put her head down and covered her head with her hands to prevent herself of being hurt while Defendant was throwing things. Defendant was later located and is in custody at the Pine County Jail.
