On December 31, 2025, law enforcement executed a search warrant at [ADDRESS REDACTED] NE #12, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The address was associated with DAMARIO MONTE BROWN, DEFENDANT herein, who was on Electronic Home Monitoring (EHM) for a felony weapons charge at the time. Officers recovered a loaded Ruger 9 mm handgun from a hole cut around a drainpipe under the kitchen cabinet. The DEFENDANT was apprehended in the kitchen. The DEFENDANT was previously convicted of a crime of violence, second degree drugs, in Court File No. 27-CR-10-3041, making the DEFENDANT ineligible to possess a firearm.
Officers recovered a baggie of field-tested positive Fentanyl that weighed 16.91 grams from under the bed in the bedroom along with a mailing address to the DEFENDANT in the drawer of the nightstand next to the bed. Officers also recovered scales and drug paraphernalia in the apartment. Based upon training and experience, your complaint alleges that possession of fentanyl in this amount is consistent with possession with intent to sell. In a post-Miranda statement, the DEFENDANT admitted that he lived alone but denied possessing a firearm or selling drugs.
The DEFENDANT is currently in custody on unrelated matters.
