On June 4, 2026, at 2327 hours, Maplewood police officers responded to 1310 Frost, Maplewood, Ramsey County, on a report of a robbery. ADP, [DOB REDACTED], reported that some males assaulted and robbed him. He explained that he had come to the address to see a female friend, KMT, [DOB REDACTED], who lived in [APT REDACTED]. He was not successful in seeing KMT. He was sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot. Some males approached his vehicle. A male, later identified as Jerome Ernest Wleh, [DOB REDACTED], pulled out a knife and ordered him out of the car.
He refused. He said he recognized three of the males as associates of KMT. The males then pulled him out of the vehicle. A male, later identified as Jeremiah Jaden Maki, [DOB REDACTED], questioned him about how he knew KMT. He told ADP to leave her alone. The males began digging through his pockets looking for the keys to his vehicle. He refused to give them up. Wleh pointed the steak knife at him again and threatened to stab him. A male, identified as Evan James Maki, [DOB REDACTED], hit ADP over the head and pushed him to the ground.
Weh, and the Maki brothers began to kick and punch him. His phone fell to the ground. It was missing. He said that the men also took his backpack that had another new phone in it. ADP said that he saw headlights and was able to run toward them. The men jumped into a black vehicle with a plate like LUX248. Investigation revealed that KMT lived at [APT REDACTED]. Officers went to that address and KMT confirmed that ADP had come over unannounced and was knocking on her door. She did not answer. KMT’s friend, RLH, [DOB REDACTED], was also present.
She is the registered owner of a black Jeep with the plate LUK248. She had a relationship with Jeremiah Maki. She confirmed that ADP attempted to contact KMT by knocking on the door to her apartment. She said that she was uncomfortable with ADP because she believed that he had sex trafficked KMT in the past. Cottage Grove police officers stopped the suspect vehicle. Jeremiah Maki and Evan Maki were in the vehicle. In a post-Miranda interview, Jeremiah Maki acknowledged that he, his bother Evan and his friend, Wleh, were in his baby momma’s Jeep when she called and reported that ADP was bothering KMT at her apartment.
He said that he was driving, and Weh told him to block in ADP’s vehicle. He said that Wleh got out and approached the vehicle with a knife. He said that Wleh pulled ADP from the vehicle and made a few stabbing motions at ADP with the knife. He said that Wleh slammed ADP to the ground. Jeremiah admitted that he punched ADP. He said that Wleh grabbed ADP’s backpack and some cards from the vehicle. He said that he, his brother and Wleh then fled the scene. He said Wleh threw the kitchen knife out the window.
Evan Maki declined a custodial interview. During a show up, ADP positively identified Jeremiah and Evan Maki as two of the men who robbed him.
