On March 24, 2026, at 0417 hours, White Bear Lake police officers responded to Cub Foods, [ADDRESS REDACTED], White Bear Lake, Ramsey County, on a report of an assault. Officers spoke to AJK, [DOB REDACTED]. He said he was stocking shelves with another employee, identified as Jason Errol Hazzard, [DOB REDACTED]. AJK asked Hazzard if he liked his job. Hazzard responded by asking AJK if he “liked his life.” Hazzard then pulled out knife pointed it at AJK and said, “If you ever talk shit about me under your breath again, I will fucking stab you.” AJK denied talking about Hazzard.
He became upset and was shaking and feared for his life. Officers spoke to a witness, SAF, [DOB REDACTED], who corroborated AJK’s account of the incident. Officers approached Hazzard and asked him if he had any weapons on him. Hazzard pulled out a Gerber pocketknife and threw it on the register. Hazzard told officers that a new guy was working with him and was “mouthing off saying weird shit while I was trying to work.” He added, “I told him if you don’t get the fuck out of here, I’m going to fucking kill you, dude.” Officers arrested Hazzard.
Video also captured the incident and showed Hazzard pulling out a knife and pointing it at AJK.
