On December 11, 2025, Tristin Lee Lene-Johnson, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein, hit the intercom button on his cell while incarcerated at the Stearns County Jail in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota. When officers arrived at the cell they noted the defendant had broken the sink off the wall of the cell and water was spilling onto the floor. Due to this, the defendant needed to be moved to another cell. The defendant was asked to place his hands behind his back several times without complying.
The Special Operations Response Team, SORT team herein, responded to assist with extracting the defendant from his cell. Corrections officers Spears, Kaminskie, Ramler, and Erickson responded to assist. Once the officers entered, the defendant began punching and kicking at the officers. Specifically the defendant grabbed CO Kaminskie's helmet and landed two closed fist punches on the side of CO Kaminskie's head. The defendant caused visible injuries to CO Kaminskie. The defendant also struck CO Spears in the back of the head.
CO Spears suffered visible injuries from the assault. Complainant has reason to believe and does believe that all of the above information is true and correct. The above facts constitute your complainant's basis for believing that the above-named defendant, on or about the 11th day of December of 2025, in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota, committed the offenses described herein.
