Kevin Jonathan Bolanos

On March 17, 2026 Detectives with the Faribault Police Department met with Juvenile Victim who is a 14- year-old male. In the interview, Juvenile Victim [NAME REDACTED] had been using a social media application - Grindr - to connect with adult men. Juvenile Victim described a sexual encounter with an adult man who works at the ice cream shop near the Pizza Hut in Faribault. Juvenile Victim did not know his name but did share that he met the man on Grindr and communicated with him to have a sexual encounter.

The event occurred about 3 weeks ago. The two planned for the man to pick up Juvenile Victim a block away from his home at midnight or 1 am. The man was driving a white Chevrolet Tahoe and he did pick up Juvenile Victim [NAME REDACTED]. He drove to the east side of Faribault by the hospital. Juvenile Victim [NAME REDACTED], back parking lot of Pleasant View Estates. Juvenile Victim reported that the adult man had Juvenile Victim [NAME REDACTED] on the man, and that they then engaged in anal intercourse.

Juvenile Victim accessed his Snapchat account to help detectives identify the man. The Snapchat account associated with this man was "K Bolanos." By reviewing a number of K Bolanos' social media photos, law enforcement identified him as Kevin Jonathan Bolanos [DOB REDACTED] (age 22). Detectives then interviewed Bolanos who admitted to using Grindr and Snapchat for sexual encounters. He also admitted to using the Pleasant View Estates parking lot for a sexual encounter once in a white Tahoe. Detective Larson utilized city of Faribault FLOCK cameras to search for the license plate associated with the Tahoe.

He received two hits on February 26, 2026 at 11:51 pm and 1:37 am consistent with travel the Tahoe would have taken for the sexual encounter.
