On February 20, 2026, around 4 AM, officers responded to a domestic abuse in progress at 36XX Stevens Avenue South in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Upon arrival officers located the Victim sitting on the front stairs. She told officers that she was just assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, KALEM RASHAD WILLIAMS ([DOB redacted]), who fled the scene. The Victim described that she invited Defendant over earlier that day. The two were drinking and started arguing. Defendant left the residence but eventually returned and the Victim’s mother unknowingly let him back inside.
Defendant and Victim started arguing again. Defendant grabbed both of the Victim’s hands and pressed them against her then covered her mouth when she tried to scream out to her mother for help. Her mother eventually overheard and called police. Defendant left before police arrived. The Victim reported not feeling safe and that she believed the situation would have escalated if her mother had not intervened. She reported numerous previous episodes of domestic abuse by Defendant.
