On or about 1/3/2026 at 3:36 pm, Officers with the St. Louis Park Police department responded to the 8100 block of 30 ½ street West in St. Louis Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival at the apartment building, officers found a male and female arguing in the hallway. The male was identified as Jhett John Lamont Wade, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. The female party, victim herein, provided a statement on scene to police. The Victim stated that she and Defendant have been dating for over a year and she is pregnant with his child.
They have been living together in this apartment since December of 2025. The Victim stated that Defendant wanted to have sex with her this morning, but she refused. She told him that she was pregnant and wasn't in the mood right now. Victim stated this made Defendant upset and he began to say mean sexual things to her. The Defendant wanted to hug her, but she told him she did not want to hug him. The Victim [NAME REDACTED] from the late morning through the afternoon, Defendant would forcibly hug and kiss her.
Several times, Defendant forcefully grabbed her by the wrists and held her down. Defendant forcefully grabbed Victim’s face and kissed her. The Victim [NAME REDACTED] on and off for several hours. Defendant forced his tongue into her mouth as well. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was looking at her phone and accused her of cheating. He told her to go to her aunt’s place. The Victim stated that Defendant grabbed her by the legs and pulled her off the bed and told her she was going to her aunt’s. She then began to pack a bag to take with her to leave.
She was in the bathroom getting ready to leave and turned on some music. The Defendant came into the bathroom and mocked the Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Victim stated she grabbed her belongings and went to leave the apartment, but then Defendant blocked the door to leave and told her she wasn't going anywhere. Defendant grabbed her vehicle key fob and threw it on the ground, causing it to break. She told Defendant to leave her alone and that she just wanted to leave. She started screaming "leave me alone." This made the Defendant mad.
The Defendant grabbed her hands and her body and dragged her from the door of the apartment over to the bed. He threw her on the bed. The Victim [NAME REDACTED] one hand holding her wrist down and the other hand was placed over her mouth and nose. Defendant was telling her to shut up and be quiet. The Victim stated Defendant put his hand over her mouth and nose three times. She stated at one point she was on the bed and Defendant was over top of her. Defendant made fists with his hands, and she thought he was going to punch her.
Defendant said something like, "Shut up before I do something I don't want to do." At some point, she saw Defendant's phone on the bed and tried to call 911 using the emergency call button. She told Defendant she was going to call the police, and she believes that he took her phone away from her. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was eventually able to call 911 and was talking to Dispatch out in the hallway. When she was out in the hallway, Defendant threw a bottle of Vaseline at her, which hit her in the leg.
