On November 21, 2025, at 0257 hours, St. Paul police officers responded to the 1200 block of Cook, St. Paul, Ramsey County, on a report of a domestic gun pointing incident. Officers spoke to the 911 caller, RDR, [DOB REDACTED]. He stated that he woke up to hear his mother, VQH, [DOB REDACTED], arguing with her boyfriend, Timothy Allen Schwantes, [DOB redacted]. He heard Schwantes threaten to “pistol whip” his mother if she “smacked him again.” Officers spoke to a juvenile female, ACR, [DOB REDACTED]. She said she woke up to her mother and Schwantes arguing.
She heard Schwantes threaten to pistol whip VQH. ACR exited her bedroom and saw Schwantes pointing a black handgun at VQH. VQH told officers that Schwantes did threaten to pistol whip her. She denied that he pointed a gun at her. She gave officers permission to search her house. Schwantes was slow to exit the residence, stating that he did nothing wrong. He told officers that he and VQH argued but that nothing physical happened. He denied threatening VQH. He said that he did threaten to beat one of the juveniles with a belt.
He acknowledged that the house does not belong to him and he does not reside there. Officers searched the house and found a black handgun holster in the bathroom on the main level. Officers looked further and discovered a handgun under the sink in a cut out in the wall.
