At approximately 10:28 P.M. On March 30, 2026, Wright County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at [ADDRESS REDACTED] Northeast in Albertville, Wright County, Minnesota. The identified 911 caller reported hearing a woman screaming and it sounding like someone was muffling her screams. The caller later said that the screaming sound blood curdling. Upon arrival, Deputy Block observed a man and woman in Unit 306 yelling at each other. Both parties had markings consistent with a physical fight.
The woman was identified as KTV, and the man was identified as Edgar Vicente Hernandez [DOB REDACTED] (hereinafter “the defendant”). Deputy Unrein spoke with KTV. KTV said she and the defendant are married and live together. KTV told Deputy Unrein that when she came home from work, she was locked out of the house and the defendant was home. When she entered the residence, the defendant began punching her in the face. She said the situation escalated into the defendant choking her while holding her down on the bed.
He used two hands to grab around her neck, which restricted her breathing and caused her neck pain. He placed a hand over her mouth and nose to prevent her from screaming, while holding onto her neck. KTV said this made it difficult to breathe. KTV believed the defendant was jealous; she believed he thought was she was seeing someone else. KTV admitted that she struck the defendant, but she said she did so because he hit her first. Deputy Unrein saw a small cut above the left side of KTV’s upper lip, a red/bruised mark on the left side of her head in front of her ear, and bruises/red marks around her neck and collar bone.
KTV said this was from the defendant biting and “kissing” her to make other guys jealous. The defendant told Deputy Block that he was at home drinking beer. He admitted to drinking a 12-pack of beer, and he said he had started drinking another 12-pack of beer when KTV returned to the residence. He said KTV got home later than expected, and he confronted her about cheating. The defendant said KTV became upset, and she hit him with closed fists. He tried to calm her down but she would not stop. The defendant admitted he slapped KTV, grabbed her hands, and pushed her onto the mattress in the living area.
He admitted he got on top of her. He said she was screaming and she continued to hit him. The defendant admitted he put his right hand over her mouth to try to stop her from screaming. She continued yelling as he told her to stop screaming. He got up, and she continued to yell at him. The defendant said they were still arguing when deputies arrived. Law enforcement observed scratch marks on the defendant and bruises on the defendant. The defendant said the scratch marks were from KTV, and some of the other marks were from other incidents.
