On January 29, 2025, law enforcement were dispatched to the City Hall parking lot in Maple Grove, Hennepin County, Minnesota, on a report of two people sleeping in a car. Dispatch advised the vehicle was running. Officers arrived and located the suspect vehicle. They observed two people sleeping inside. Officers knocked on the driver's side window, and the male driver woke up. There was also a female occupant. He was holding a small round plastic container. The officer observed two small crystalline rocks in the container.
When the officer asked the male about the container, he switched the container to his left hand and appeared to dump the rocks out. The officer had the male step out. He was identified as MATTHEW TYLER DOMINO, DEFENDANT HEREIN. The officer then searched the car and recovered one of the crystalline rocks. The second was not recovered. Officers searched the remaining parts of the vehicle and located another larger plastic bag also holding a crystalline substance in the area of the shifter. The substances later field-tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed.04 and 2.7 grams.
The female occupant gave a statement that the methamphetamine belonged to DEFENDANT.
