On January 11, 2026, around 10:30 P.M., officers responded to reports of damage to a motor vehicle at the Marquette parking ramp, located on Marquette Ave in the City of Minneapolis, County of Hennepin. Upon arrival officers observed an individual later identified as ABDIKADAR ABDIRASHID OSMAN [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, standing in the ramp. When Defendant saw officers, he began to walk and then run away from them. After observing Defendant run, officers learned from a ramp security employee that Defendant had broken into a car.
Defendant was stopped. Defendant's hand was wrapped in scarf, and he had blood on his hands. When asked, Defendant stated that the blood did not come from contact with officers. Officers continued investigation and found a total of four vehicles that had been recently damaged in the same way, and some items stolen from them. At least one of those vehicles had a smashed driver's side window and blood on the door and interior of the vehicle. Estimates for the damage to the vehicles are as follows: Honda Pilot - $567.25 Buick Enclave - $565.30 Ford Mustang - $1,242.35 Jeep Cherokee - $538.87 In total, the damage done to the four vehicles is valued at $2,913.77. Officers later spoke with the owners of the damaged vehicles.
One of those owners reported that a pair of distinctive jeans had been stolen from their vehicle. Those jeans were found in Defendant's property at the Hennepin County jail. Defendant is in custody in Hennepin County.
