Notice: Pursuant to Minnesota Rule of Criminal Procedure 7.02, the prosecution provides notice that, at trial, the State will offer evidence of the following offenses, in addition to the offense herein charged, for the purpose of proving the motive, intent, preparation, plan, and identity of the perpetrator. 62-CR-25-7020 On 09/19/2025 DANIELSON was arrested driving a 2015 Lexus that had been stolen earlier in the day. DANIELSON then unsuccessfully fled from police when they tried to stop him. Once captured, DANIELSON was Mirandized and said he saw the vehicle on the side of the road, saw its keys on the seat, and stole it because his feet hurt from walking.
This case is still active. 62-CR-25-8622 On 11/17/2025 DANIELSON stole a truck that the owner was able to track via GPS. Based on location updates from the owner, police quickly spotted the truck and blocked it in. DANIELSON said that a friend named "Sam" from Dorothy Day let him the borrow the truck. CCTV footage showed DANIELSON driving the vehicle just 8 minutes after it was stolen. This case is still active. 62-CR-25-9418 On 12/17/25, DANIELSON was arrested driving a vehicle that had been reported two hours earlier from the Holiday Inn River Center parking ramp.
DANIELSON admitted being at the parking ramp and said his friend let him drive it. He also said it was abnormal for the friend to have a vehicle. This case is still active. Current offense: On 03/15/2026 at 1130 hrs, St. Paul Police responded to [ADDRESS REDACTED] in St. Paul, Ramsey County on a report of a stolen vehicle. The owner of the vehicle, CAM, said she her son parked her 2015 Chevrolet Equinox (MN/ZFY933) in the parking ramp at 234 Kellogg on 03/14/2026 at about 2130 hours and someone stole it overnight.
According to Edmunds.com, the value of a 2015 Equinox ranges from $2,679 to $9,073. CCTV footage from the parking ramp showed a male suspect wearing a black balaclava, a black Northface jacket, and black pants leaving with the car at 0315 hrs. On 03/15/2026 at approximately 1935 hours, police spotted the stolen vehicle and stopped it at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in St. Paul, Ramsey County. The driver was identified as Tyler William DANIELSON ([DOB REDACTED]). DANIELSON matched the description of the suspect who stole the vehicle from the ramp and was wearing the same clothing that he was wearing at the time of the theft.
DANIELSON declined to be interviewed. For purposes of Rule 6.02, DANIELSON has three active Auto Theft cases; 62-CR-25-7020, 62-CR-25- 8622, and 62-CR-25-9418.
