On January 1, 2026 at approximately 2:21 A.M., Rice County Deputies were dispatched to 300 2nd Street SE, [APT REDACTED], Morristown, Rice County, Minnesota, for a domestic disturbance. Dispatch advised Adult Female Victim was choked by her husband, later identified as ALVARO GONZALEZ NAVARRO, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein, and that the defendant had left the residence in a black Honda. As Deputy Brodee Kupp was driving to the location he observed a black Honda Accord driving southbound on 2nd Street SE. The vehicle pulled into the driveway of 300 2nd Street SE. A lone male exited the driver’s seat and walked towards the front door of the residence.
There were not other occupants in the vehicle. Deputy Brodee Kupp approached the male and female who were identified as Adult Female Victim [NAME REDACTED]. The defendant informed the deputy that Adult Female Victim was his wife and they had children together. The family resides together at that residence. That evening and early morning he and Adult Female Victim argued about “family stuff.” The defendant reported he slammed his head into a wall inside the residence which caused a hole. The defendant said he did not punch, hit or kick Adult Female Victim, [NAME REDACTED] onto her because she was pushing him.
The defendant said the hole in the wall is in the entryway. The defendant said Adult Female Victim [NAME REDACTED], kick or punch him. The defendant said he left the residence. While speaking with the defendant, Deputy Brodee Kupp noticed the odor of alcoholic beverages coming from the defendant’s person. The defendant eyes were bloodshot and watery. The defendant admitted he had too much to drink and drive. The defendant said he had seven beers, a Cutwater and around two shots between 7:00-8:00 P.M. With his last drink approximately an hour before the arrival of the deputies.
The defendant said he was feeling the effects of the alcoholic beverages. The defendant said he was driving around town and decided to return home, which is when he saw the deputy arrive. Deputy Brodee Kupp entered the residence and observed a hole in the wall which appeared to be fresh. Pieces of the wall were still on the floor. Adult Female Victim explained she and the defendant share two children and she has a third child [NAME REDACTED]. At that point, Juvenile Female Victim came over to the deputy.
The child [NAME REDACTED] said “My dad broke the chair and the tablets and the phones.” Adult Female Victim [NAME REDACTED] was loud during the argument which woke up the children in the home. Adult Female Victim [NAME REDACTED] had to leave. The defendant started throwing and breaking items, including an old phone which belonged to Adult Female Victim. Juvenile Female Victim again approached the deputy and said “My dad scared me.” Adult Female Victim said the defendant then walked into the hallway and slammed his head into the wall.
