Samuel Wesley Hunt

On January 29, 2026, Anoka Police Officers were dispatched to a residence located on 8th Lane in the City of Anoka, County of Anoka regarding a domestic assault. Upon arrival Officer Schley met with an adult male who indicated he woke up at approximately 7:00 A.M., and that his son, SAMUEL WESLEY HUNT, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter defendant, was also awake. The male said the defendant began playing music very loud on a blue tooth speaker. The male instructed the defendant multiple times to turn the music down as there were others still asleep in the residence.

The defendant was very disrespectful to the male and refused to turn the music down. The male indicated he approached the defendant to take his cell phone away and the defendant grabbed a box cutter and held it in his left hand above his left shoulder and said “I’m not scared of you. I’ll use this on you.” The male stated he thought the defendant would use the box cutter on him, so he attempted to slap the defendant over the head but missed. The Defendant then tried to swing at the male. During the conversation, Officer Schley observed that the male was disabled and unitized a walker with wheels to ambulate.

Officer Schley also spoke with another witness who was present who confirmed the defendant had the box cutter in his hand and said he was going to “use it” which made him fearful of what was going to happen to the male.
