On December 1, 2025, the Coon Rapids Police Department received a report that 8-year-old Child A and 11-year-old Child B disclosed that they had been sexually assaulted by their sister’s ex-boyfriend, identified as Dakota Ray Inderlee, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein on multiple occasions at their residence in the city of Coon rapids, Anoka County, Minnesota. The case was referred to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, where interviews were conducted with Child A and Child B. During her interview, 8-year-old Child A disclosed that Defendant has been “digging his hands in [her] pants.” She explained that it would happen in the living room or the bedroom of her mother’s house.
Child A recalled a time when they had been sitting in the living room and Defendant was laying video games. Child A said that Child B and J. M. K. Were also present. Child A explained that Defendant was digging his hand in her pants, was touching her but with his hand, and was rubbing her butt. Child A also recalled in incident in which they were in J. M. K.’s room and had been playing video games. She stated that Defendant again put his hands in her pants and touch her butt. She again indicated that Child B and J. M. K. Were in the room at the time.
Child A was provided an anatomically correct diagram for clarification. She circled the buttocks of the female anatomically correct diagram and indicated that this is the part she referred to as “butt.” When asked if she had been touched on any other part of her body, Child A circled the inner thighs near the vagina on the diagram. When asked to explain being touched there, Child A asked for a male version of the anatomically correct diagram. Child A then disclosed an incident in which she was on the bed with Defendant, Child B, and J. M. K. And that J. M. K. Were sleeping.
Child A disclosed that she was sitting on the bed and that Defendant pulled her clothes down and put his penis between her legs on her bare skin. She further explained that his penis felt soft and a little wet and explained that Defendant was using his hand to rub his penis in between her legs. An interview was also conducted with 11-year-old Child B. Child B disclosed that Defendant would tell her and Child A to sit on his legs and would then place his hands inside of their pants and rub their buttocks.
Child B disclosed that these incidents happened both when J. M. K. Was present and when she was not present. Child B disclosed one incident in which Defendant had directed her to sit on his lap, which she did. Defendant then placed his hands inside her pants and under her underwear, making direct contact with her buttocks and rubbing it. Child B disclosed that the incident ended when she pretended to have to use the restroom and got up. Child B also disclosed that she has observed Defendant put his hands under Child A’s pants and recalled looking away, hoping that it was not real.
