On January 27, 2026, law enforcement responded to a domestic with weapons call located near the 900 block of Penn Ave N in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Call remarks stated that one of the male occupants of the home was threatening his roommates at a group home with a shotgun. The suspect was identified as NOAH STEPHEN PASTICK, Defendant herein. It was believed that Defendant discharged the weapon in the home. On arrival, officers staged a SWAT response to ensure scene safety. Defendant was observed inside the home being highly agitated.
One round of fire was heard by officers outside the home. Defendant was observed breaking a window in the upstairs level of the home and holding what appeared to officers to be a sword. Defendant made several statements about suicide by law enforcement. Defendant eventually came out of the residence several hours later and was taken into custody. A search warrant was obtained and search of the home revealed several holes from a shotgun as well as multiple spent shell-casings. There were holes in the ceiling, floor, and walls.
A black, long-barreled shot gun was recovered from the second floor of the home. A katana style sword and scabbard were also located. The other residents of the group home were interviewed. It was determined that several of the occupants had the firearm directly pointed at them. One was a known adult male, hereinafter Victim 1. Victim 1 reported being in his room and hearing Defendant yelling and playing video games. Defendant appeared to have been drinking. Victim 1 asked Defendant to be quiet. Victim 1 saw Defendant come to the door of Victim 1's room with a shot gun.
Defendant pointed the shot gun at him and asked if he wanted to "escalate things" and then pointed it away. Victim 1 stated he was afraid he would defecate himself because he was so afraid. Defendant continued to walk around the house and then Victim 1 heard a gunshot. Victim 1 gathered the other roommates, and they left the home and called 911. Victim 2, a known adult female, was frantically telling officers that Defendant had been walking around the house with a gun and pointed it at her. Victim 2 also told officers that Defendant threatened to kill the officers outside.
Defendant is currently in custody.
