On December 9, 2025, Richfield Police Officers responded to a past action theft that occurred on December 7, 2025 at 1307 hours at Ulta, 1050 78th Street West, Richfield, Hennepin County. The reporting party, A. W., an employee of Ulta, reported that a suspect, later identified as SUNNI JEAN FAIRBANKS-PEQUETTE, Defendant herein, concealed merchandise in an Ulta shopping bag and left the store without paying for the items. Officers reviewed surveillance and observed the Defendant enter the store, select an Ulta shopping bag, place $1,242.10 worth of merchandise in the bag, pass the checkout lines without attempting to purchase the items, and then walk past the security towers sounding off the alarms and lights.
The Minnesota Organized Retail Crime Association Investigator was able to identify the Defendant through the security footage. Her DVS record and a booking photo were used to confirm her identity. The Defendant currently has an active warrant in case file ••-CR-••-•••• - Misdemeanor False Name to Police - that was issued on September 25, 2023, for failing to appear.
