On January 17, Ofc. Roussell responded to a call regarding a male subject experiencing a mental health episode on the 2300 block of Hailing Ct, NW, Rochester. On arrival, Roussell encountered defendant herein, Tyler Anthony Landon [DOB REDACTED] outside in only boxers, sandals, and a sweatshirt. The caller identified an ongoing concern with defendant’s mental health, and Roussell observed defendant making statements that would indicate a psychotic episode. Defendant was brought into the ambulance, and was uncomfortable with officers being in the ambulance.
Roussell heard yelling in the ambulance and assisted EMTs with holding defendant down while medication was administered. Roussell spoke with one of the EMTs, an adult male fully identified in police reports and hereinafter referred to as Victim, who stated that defendant punched him in the face. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was being cooperative, then defendant stood up and pushed another EMT. Defendant then punched victim as victim tried to grab hold of him. The punch hit Victim in the right side of his face.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] in his head, and stated he needed Tylenol and an ice pack, but medical care was not likely necessary. Ofc. Winters noticed visible redness on Victim’s right face, near his temple/ear. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: YOU MUST APPEAR FOR EVERY COURT HEARING REGARDING THIS CASE. FAILURE TO APPEAR FOR COURT IS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE AND MAY RESULT IN ADDITIONAL CRIMINAL CHARGES BEING IMPOSED AND PUNISHED AS PROVIDED IN MINNESOTA STATUTES SECTION 609.49.
