On April 7, 2026, officers of the Minneapolis Police Department received reports of threats of violence being made against VICTIMs J. B. And W. S., who reside at [ADDRESS REDACTED]., City of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. According to both victims, WILLIAM SHAW [DOB REDACTED], DEFENDANT herein, was experiencing animus against his brother, VICTIM [NAME REDACTED], due to a recent dispute regarding a prior theft that escalated when DEFENDANT made telephonic threats to their household the evening of April 6, 2026, telling both VICTIMs that he would “blow their s*** up” and specifically telling them he would kill them.
VICTIMs recorded a portion of the phone call where DEFENDANT is heard telling the VICTIMs, “I’m gonna kill you, I’m gonna kill you;” “I’ll kick you ass…”I’ll kill you…I’ll blow up your car;” “I'm gonna come over there and I'm gonna blow your s*** up, I'm gonna blow your car up;" and “die, you die, you dead.” Both VICTIMs indicated they had reasonable apprehension that DEFENDANT would carry out the threats and were in fear for their safety. DEFENDANT was located and placed under arrest. In a post-Miranda statement DEFENDANT admitted to threating to kill his brother, VICTIM [NAME REDACTED], as well as blow up their car.
DEFENDANT explained this was because he was mad that the VICTIM’s were “harassing” him about an alleged theft that occurred in 2025. DEFENDANT is presently in custody.
